HRBMP is offering scholarships this spring ranging from $500 to $1,500 for current high school seniors going on to college this year and to current college students. We offer two scholarship programs at the high school level: the Promise and Media scholarships. We offer one scholarship program at the college level: the Media scholarship.
Please click on the attached, downloadable scholarship application forms, print them and apply by mail. The mailing address is included on the applications. Applicants should be enrolled in learning institutions in Hampton Roads and/or in the viewing/circulation area of Hampton Roads television news broadcasts and Hampton Roads-area newspapers. Students from Hampton Roads attending colleges anywhere in Virginia are also eligible to apply.

Promise Scholarship: No GPA requirement/For a student who has struggled to overcome societal odds to become a high school graduate/ Open to students pursuing any course of studies
Media Scholarship (for high school seniors going to college): Intended for a student planning to study journalism or a media-related major in college. GPA requirement.
Media Scholarship (for students currently attending college at the undergraduate level): Intended for a student already studying journalism or a media-related major in college. GPA requirement.
